VBS is FREE for everyone but donations to help defray costs are greatly appreciated. Please make checks payable to FCCC and put VBS on the memo line.


Beginning in September 2019, we will be having a year long confirmation class for students in grades 7th – 9th (older students who have not taken confirmation classes please speak with Pastor). Families will receive a letter containing information about the class schedule, mission trip and more. This program is open to students who do not attend our church, however there are 3 dates in the program that require worship service attendance and participation.

Ministry to our youth

The youth group is currently is currently fundraising for Rise Against Hunger. Rise Against Hunger’s meal packaging program is a volunteer-based initiative that coordinates the assembly-line packaging of highly nutritious dehydrated meals comprised of rice, soy, vegetables, and 23 essential vitamins and minerals. On Sunday September 8 the youth group will be leading a meal packaging event at the Pomfret Community School in Pomfret Center. They are getting closer to meeting their goal of $3451.00. They have raised $2540.00 The link for making donations is The final fundraisers are Monday August 19th Eat at Chili’s & Wednesday August 21st Sundae sale at the summer concert.

Canterbury Cares

Donations are always needed to support this wonderful program. We take this opportunity to say thank you to the many hands that make this program successful. Thank you to our volunteers, your hard work and dedication is greatly appreciated. Thank you to all who donate, without you this program would not happen.

KIDS CANTERBURY CARES: This summer 8 families received a large tote bag full of kid friendly foods for families in need. Each family was incredibly grateful for the bountiful feast. THANK YOU TO EVERYONE THAT MADE DONATIONS.

Community Meal

Fall 2019 dates to be announced. Volunteers are needed to prep the food and to serve it. Youth and adults are welcome to help out.
